My take on the 'typical' cartoon family. Also more practise at drawing humans,& I wanted to try and push some more interesting shapes into the drawing as I personally think people are easy to make 'bland'.
I also kept the colours flat this time around, so I hope it's a positive difference. Although I will be doing the shading still of course :)
Inked by hand, scanned, coloured in Photoshop.

I noticed, first off, that you went against the gender stereotypes ("girls are shorter than boys") in both the parents and the kids. The son has a smirk on his face that's congruent with his eyebrow and both the gals have cell phones. :) Decent job with the anatomy all around. I hear from illustrators and comic writers (Scott Adams, Dilbert?) that hands and fingers are tough to represent. I don't think it's hard to draw hands and fingers realistically, I just think it's hard to represent them symbolically in a way that doesn't look like Mickey Mouse or a stick finger. Isn't the language of symbols great? You certainly do an entertaining job! I'm enjoying the details in the kids' shoes, and the body proportions are very good all around. I noticed you went with a different look for dad's feet/legs/pants? I like how mom is stepping outside of the bounds of the drop shadow. Fun piece!

Hope you don't mind me saying this, but the hands on the mother look a bit troubled to me. Be nice if the cellphone hand had some connection to the phone (as in the girl, where it looks great) and the other hand seems a bit small and withered - perhaps too much detail there? The small feet work well though.
