I find myself wishing that this were an actual restaurant close to work, so I could go eat there. I mean, not because I want to eat a cat, but because the cat is more of a symbol (a realistic one just wouldn't do here, not at all) of good health, good luck and fortune. This could easily be the menu cover of a cheap-but-good noodle restaurant - you know the one: looks like a dive, but has the best food in town?
I took a whole point off for the combination of the somewhat confusing drop shadow (too hard? is it centered or not? it's so close...) and the font. Although I do think it's cute (intentional?) that the K in Kitty meshes up with the Noodle, so it reads "Knoodle." I've always loved that word.
I gave five out of five for vision, because this is so unique - I see this as a menu cover and possibly placard for outside to bring customers in - although I still question the concept of cat in dim sum. I mean...cat in a dim sum box.
I feel that with a little fine-tuning, this would really impress customers. I gave the impact five stars because the contrast between the faded illegible document behind meshes well with the cartoony feel of the objects that have been laid over. And, of course - as always - your characters continue to have great emotional and visual impact.
I think the tweaked and final piece would be a five-star across the board - unlike the fictional restaurant it would represent.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
